What We Offer

Here is a concise summary of our service:

  • We manage client accounts for absolute return profit objectives.
  • We are compensated by performance fees, not by transactions made.
  • We manage individual client accounts. We do not have a pool of funds.
  • Client funds are sent to an established forex brokerage, not to FTT.
  • You can view trades live as they take place.

Please read through advantages and fees sections. This will give you a comprehensive understanding of the service we provide and how we provide it.

Absolute Return vs. Relative Return

It might seem simple, but knowing whether a fund manager or broker is doing a good job can be a challenge for some investors. It’s difficult to define what good is, because it depends on how the rest of the market has been performing. For example in a bull market, 2% is a horrible return. But in a bear market, when most investors are down 20%, just preserving your capital would be considered a triumph. In that case, 2% doesn’t look so bad.

FTT deals in absolute returns, where the performance of your investment is not relative to that of traditional markets. Common traditional markets referred to by most people are the stock market and real estate market, where the rise and fall of its prices are a direct reflection of how the underlying economy is performing. Absolute returns become a meaningful measure of performance when investing in alternative investments. This is because alternative investments are uncorrelated with traditional markets. In recent times of economic uncertainty, it is more important than ever to seek alternative investments to diversify your portfolio. It doesn’t matter how good a person is at buying low and selling high, it is always going to be an uphill battle when the general market is down trending as a result of a weakening economy.

Fees

25% Performance Fee

A 25% fee will be applied to new profits on your account. So for example, if after 1 month, your account experiences gains of $10,000 in profit, $2,500 (25% of $10,000) is our performance fee and $7,500 is your net profit. If your account experiences a loss for the month, which will inevitably happen throughout the course of a year, then the performance fee is zero for that month.

Monthly High Water Mark

At the end of each month, the performance fee will be applied to new profits on your account. A high water mark is established each time the performance fee is applied. This means no additional performance fees may be earned until this high profit watermark has been surpassed. For example, after a monthly loss of $3,000, no additional performance fee can be earned until that $3,000 is first recovered.

Combined Accounts Water Mark

FTT manages your funds through two separate accounts: FTT 1 and FTT 2. The performance fee will be applied to the combined returns of the accounts, and the water mark will apply to the combined returns of the accounts as well. For example, if FTT 1 is -5% one month and FTT 2 is +5%, the net return on your account for the month is 0% and you will not be charged any performance fees because there were no new profits on the combined balance.
